...GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS TO MIX OUT VALLEY FOG MIDWEEK...

LIGHT WINDS AND COOL NIGHTS WILL ALLOW PATCHY DENSE FOG TO
REDEVELOP THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING FOR THE DELTA...SOUTHERN
SACRAMENTO AND NORTHERN SAN JOAQUIN VALLEYS. IMPACTS INCLUDE
HIGHLY REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND THE POTENTIAL FOR DRIZZLE AND
SLICK ROADWAYS. THE MOST HAZARDOUS TIMEFRAME FOR THESE IMPACTS
WILL BE DURING THE MORNING RUSH HOUR. MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO
TAKE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING THROUGH POCKETS OF DENSE FOG AND
ENCOURAGED TO KEEP ADDITIONAL SPACING BETWEEN VEHICLES.
VISIBILITIES WILL IMPROVE BY LATE MORNING WHEN THE FOG LIFTS
INTO A LOW CLOUD LAYER BEFORE BREAKING OUT BY THE AFTERNOON.

A CHANGE IN THE WEATHER PATTERN ARRIVES AFTER WEDNESDAY MORNING
WHEN STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS INVADE THE REGION. THESE STRONG WINDS
WILL BE SUFFICIENT TO CLEAR OUT THE FOG FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
MORNING. WIND GUSTS UP TO 70 MILES PER HOUR ARE POSSIBLE OVER
RIDGETOPS AND THROUGH FAVORED CANYONS WITH THIS EVENT. FOR THE
VALLEY... WINDY CONDITIONS WITH GUSTS OVER 35 MILES PER HOUR ARE
POSSIBLE WITH THIS SYSTEM. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE OVER THE
WESTERN SIDE OF THE VALLEY.
