Subject: Ferry Alert: Faunt/Va/SW: Update - 45 to 60 Minute Wait for
Vehicles Departing Fauntleroy
To: guyperea@gmail.com
There is a 45 to 60 minute wait for drivers departing Fauntleroy due
to heavy vehicle traffic boarding the vessels. All boats are running
an estimated 25 minutes late due to heavy vehicle traffic boarding the
vessels and the slower speed of the Klahowya. To preserve aging
equipment on the 55-year-old vessel, we are operating it at speeds
that do not allow it to make up for unforeseen delays on the
Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route's tight schedule, and at times may
not allow us to keep the normal sailing schedule. Updates will occur
as conditions change.
This alert was sent on 7/19/2013 at 4:55PM to subscribers of the
Fauntleroy (West Seattle) / Vashon / Southworth route.
