next generation of storytellers at the AFI Conservatory in Los Angeles
– one of the top film schools in the world. Since 1969, over four
thousand graduates have enhanced the quality of American film with
their creativity, skill and professionalism.
AFI Conservatory alumni have played a major role in some of the most
beloved and inspirational films of our times, as well as many of

AMERICAN HORROR STORY and HOMELAND. No one begins with such success,
however, and many of our current Fellows rely on financial support.
And, with women comprising only eleven percent of all directors
working in the field of film and television, AFI provides a select,
talented group of women the opportunity to become first-time directors
through its highly acclaimed AFI Directing Workshop for Women.
Film has the power to inspire, educate, entertain, open our eyes to
the human condition and bring us together through the shared
experience of going to the movies. By joining AFI, you can help us
nurture the storytellers who enrich our culture.
AFI cannot accomplish our work to advance American film without the
support of friends and movie buffs like you. That's why, with just
